You're worth it. We've heard it. So many times. I've said it so many times in English and Spanish and French. It's easy to forget, just how special that phrases and what a gift it is to tell somebody, you're worth it, or to be told you're worth it. It's a gift. I wouldn't have minded when I was in first grade, when I had to take a bus to a new school, in a new neighborhood with new kids. I remember walking onto the school bus and realizing. Nobody else looks like me. A dark-skinned, I had dark hair and dark eyes. So, when I say you're worth it, I'm saying it to that. Little girl who feels like her hair or her skin is just a little bit too dark. Because I know she needs to hear it right now and I want her to feel proud of who she is. You're worth it, can change someone's afternoon. It can change their life. It can change a culture. So it's important to keep sharing it and to pass it on. Give it to a friend who's feeling, unsure or insecure about something. Someone who's struggling to accept their place or feeling like they don't belong. So, you know what? You're worth it and say it until they believe it and watch what happens. And to that little girl waiting for that school bus. Listen to me because this is important. You're worth it.
